Analytical Detection Receives U.S. Patent for Inductive-Heating Trace Detection Technology

Analytical Detection has received U.S. Patent No. 12,680,918, titled “Trace Detection of Low Volatile Substances Using Inductive Heating of a Sampling Swab.”

The patented approach uses rapid inductive heating of the sampling swab to improve the release and detection of low-volatility substances that can be difficult to analyze using conventional trace-detection methods.

The technology is being developed for applications involving explosives, illicit drugs, and other challenging trace materials and forms part of Analytical Detection’s broader intellectual-property portfolio in advanced trace detection.
