Analytical Detection presented its latest work in explosives and narcotics trace detection at the 14th International Symposium on the Analysis and Detection of Explosives (ISADE 2026), held September 13–18 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The presentation, “Parallel Detection of Explosives and Narcotics Using a High-Resolution IMS Platform,” described the use of the BeagleX 100 platform for high-resolution ion mobility spectrometry detection of both explosive and narcotic compounds.

The work highlighted the ability of a single IMS platform to support multiple threat classes while maintaining rapid analysis, high resolving power, and compound-specific detection. The presentation also demonstrated the broader potential of the BeagleX platform for next-generation aviation security, homeland security, defense, and law-enforcement applications.
